📄️ Capabilities
Capabilities sit inside products. They are used as flags for capabilities that are turned on for every plan. Capabilities allow you to add functionality to every plan at once without needing to worry about setting individual values for each plan.
📄️ Features
Features are what differentiate plans. They are the benefits, functionality, or augmentations that you vary to create different levels of value between your plans. Features can be actual things that affect the experience of an app or service, like enabling a specific function, or can be purely an invention of marketing.
📄️ Grantee ID
The Grantee ID is the thing you are licensing. It can be any ID that you have access to and wish to license. The options are endless, but it's down to you to decide how the license should unlock for which users.
📄️ Licenses vs Subscriptions
Licences and subscriptions serve two different but related purposes in Salable. We have chosen to make the distinction because it allows you more flexibility in how you sell your products. This is something that we think will help you to make the most of your product.
📄️ Pricing Models
Salable offers two pricing models that you can use for your product; a license-based model and a usage-based model. The pricing model is assigned on the plan level, so if you wish you can offer both pricing models to your customers, depending on which plan they select. You can decide which pricing model applies to a plan when you create the plan.
